QotD: Speak To Me In...
How many languages can you speak? Which languages can you read or understand?
I'm pretty proficient at English and am as fluent as I need to be in Latin, given the number of opportunities one has to speak it these days. My French is pitiful when taking into account how many years of schooling I had in it, and I can read Hebrew without being able to understand a single word of it (thank you bar mitzvah). Also, a few summers ago I became convinced that I can understand Swedish but in retrospect I think that was the aquavit talking.
