So scenic and yet so dysfunctional.
I'm so glad I don't live in the East Bay anymore.
Love it! Don't love that my route home is blocked though.

The traffic started real early.
I am stuck behind this truck, inching along down highway 1. I am about to die of suffocation. Even with all windows open and a bit of a cross breeze off the ocean, there is very little oxygen in here.
I only wish I'd lived to see Vox launch.
I realize that this blog has basically become my commute record, and the only thing more boring than my commute is reading about it. But hey, my drives are the only time I have to blog these days. And as Brad likes to say, you're the one reading it.
In the time that it took me to take the picture and write that first paragraph, it's gone from looking like it's about to rain to pouring. As has been true in every place I've ever lived, Friday commutes are bad. Rainy day commutes are also bad. Rainy Friday commutes are, well, bad. To quote a favorite CEO of mine, it's exponential!
It's supposed to rain all weekend, which I guess makes the fact that I'll be unpacking the house all weekend somewhat more dealable. Still, what I wouldn't give right now for a sunny, nothing-to-do-all-weekend weekend. Maybe in a few weeks.
OK, back to driving. Traffic is starting to move again and I probably should focus on the road.
